For more than 30 years, Dr. Carter has offered the highest quality medical and surgical eye care to people of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Dr. Carter received his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University and his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia and returned to Dallas to establish his practice in 1986.
Dr. Carter is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in refractive and cataract surgery. He was the first FDA Investigator in North Texas to perform LASIK. Dr. Carter was also the first surgeon in the United States to perform Crystalens® surgery after it was approved by the FDA.
